How to incoprorate Pantone Greenery into your wedding

February 02, 2017. Category: decor, dessert, details, Flowers, inspiration, Invitations, real wedding

We are always excited to see which color Pantone will select as the color of the year and as many of you know this year they selected Pantone Greenery 15-0343

Pantone describes this color as:

“A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.”

We couldn’t think of a better color choice for 2017, as with the beginning of every year, we all look to refresh, revitalize and seek new beginnings!

Greenery has been described as “a versatile and trans-seasonal” shade that lends itself to many color combinations and can be  paired with neutrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels and metallics.”

Greenery is a wonderful color to incorporate into a wedding. From invitations, to flowers, to even welcome bags the possibilities are endless! Below are a few ways we were able to thread this versatile color throughout this lovely wedding seamlessly.

Real Wedding Thursday – A quintessential DC Wedding

November 03, 2016. Category: DC Wedding, decor, details, Flowers, inspiration, real wedding, spring wedding

We always love to look back at our clients weddings for inspiration from the the location to the floral design and everything between! This lovely Spring wedding is no exception, especially the bride’s gorgeous bridal bouquet by Holly Chapple which added just the right about of “pop”.

The celebration began with an intimate ceremony at the Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown University with a Reception following at the rooftop of  101 Constitution over looking the Capital, the perfect backdrop for this quintessential DC Wedding!

The Most Perfect Fall Fête!

September 22, 2016. Category: decor, details, Fall, inspiration, real wedding

It is officially the first day of fall and we could’t be more excited!

We love it when the weather starts to turn cooler and the colors shift from bright florals to rich darker tones.

So as we grab our favorite sweaters and dream of fall foliage, drinking warm apple cider, pumpkin picking, and sitting outside by the fire we can’t help but look back to one of our favorite fall weddings for inspiration!

A touch of glamour

February 22, 2016. Category: cake, decor, inspiration, theme, weddings

A great way to add a bit of glamour to your wedding day is by incorporating a few metallic details into your decor, cake and even your flowers!

Though the traditional white wedding cake will always be in style, a great way to add a bit of allure to any cake is by incorporating subtle metallics. From gold gilded leaves, to edible metallic luster dust, or a laser cut cake topper the possibilities are endless!

An unexpected and elegant way to add metallic touches into your wedding is with your flowers! Paring modern painted gold leaves with a traditional white bouquet is the perfect mix of old and new.

When incorporating metallic accents into your decor, it can be as simple and elegant as using gold chargers and matching vases, to more dramatic and elaborate such as making it your overall theme. Which ever one you choose, they will definitely add just the right amount of glitz and glamour to any wedding.

Belly Up to the Bar

February 17, 2016. Category: decor, weddings

We have been working on creating floorplans this week featuring large central bars at some of our upcoming events this spring and fall. While we’ve got bars on the brain we wanted to share a few of our favorite statement bars.

Whether you are creating a bar with catering tables and linens or renting the bar pieces a statement bar is a great way anchor a cocktail hour set up, to fill up a dancing room if your dinner is in another location or give guests a place to hang out while they are taking a break from the dancefloor. Cheers!
