National Wine Day

Did you know that today is National Wine Day? Not that we need a holiday to raise a glass, but it is certainly more fun when we have a good excuse!

We love how this couple’s vineyard wedding in Charlottesville inspired them to use wine bottles as their escort cards, such a fun way for their guess to find their seat.

How to incoprorate Pantone Greenery into your wedding

February 02, 2017. Category: decor, dessert, details, Flowers, inspiration, Invitations, real wedding

We are always excited to see which color Pantone will select as the color of the year and as many of you know this year they selected Pantone Greenery 15-0343

Pantone describes this color as:

“A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.”

We couldn’t think of a better color choice for 2017, as with the beginning of every year, we all look to refresh, revitalize and seek new beginnings!

Greenery has been described as “a versatile and trans-seasonal” shade that lends itself to many color combinations and can be  paired with neutrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels and metallics.”

Greenery is a wonderful color to incorporate into a wedding. From invitations, to flowers, to even welcome bags the possibilities are endless! Below are a few ways we were able to thread this versatile color throughout this lovely wedding seamlessly.

Did you know that today is National Cake Day?

Over here we take cake very seriously, especially if it involves decadent and gorgeous   wedding cakes, especially when they are covered in buttercream and fondant and then topped with beautiful and charming details that make each one unique to the couple!

From fresh flowers, metallic accents, love birds, a vintage topper and hand painted leaves, we are still swooning over some of our favorite wedding cakes, now if only we could have a piece… Enjoy!

We are big fans of cocktail hour especially at weddings as it is a great way to kick off the celebration and add a few personalized touches.

From a grand custom built bar in a ballroom, a nod to southern hospitality with a bourbon bar, to signature cocktails matching the couples personalities, the possibilities are endless.

Here are a few of our favorite cocktail hour ideas that you may want to try at your next soirée.

Real Wedding Thursday – A quintessential DC Wedding

November 03, 2016. Category: DC Wedding, decor, details, Flowers, inspiration, real wedding, spring wedding

We always love to look back at our clients weddings for inspiration from the the location to the floral design and everything between! This lovely Spring wedding is no exception, especially the bride’s gorgeous bridal bouquet by Holly Chapple which added just the right about of “pop”.

The celebration began with an intimate ceremony at the Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown University with a Reception following at the rooftop of  101 Constitution over looking the Capital, the perfect backdrop for this quintessential DC Wedding!
