Made in the Shade

May 27, 2011. Category: destination wedding
We are very excited about the beautiful wedding we are working on this holiday weekend, but it is going to be a hot one.  It got me thinking about how we help our guests beat the heat at a ceremony.  Two of my favorite are functional AND adorable. The parasols offer guests shade where there is none and the hats are a stylish way to keep the guys cool.  We used both at a wedding in the Bahamas, but you could just as easily use them in DC.  Happy Memorial Day!

We are on a constant hunt for new details ideas that won’t blow our bride’s budget.  Your Wedding Chicks have adorable free (and low cost) templates for everything from Save the Dates to monograms and signs.  We used the image above for one our recent couples.  It’s the perfect way to customize your welcome bag, favor, ceremony program or any other printed item.  Check them out -the possibilities are endless!

3,2,1 Action!

So, I have to admit, we haven’t tried this at one of our weddings yet, but it’s such a cute idea!  The company is called Weddeos.com. They send you 5 videos cameras for your friends to shoot your wedding.  You send them back after the big day and they edit it into a video. While there is no replacement for a professional videographer, this could be perfect for couple on a tight budget that still wants a video keepsake. Check it out!
