Royal Wedding

May 15, 2018. Category: bride, Royal Wedding, weddings

We all love a great love story in this industry and even more so if it is a modern day fairytale.

The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is only 5 days away, and it is no surprise that we are all very excited for all of its pomp and pageantry!

So before we are all glued to the television at 5am on May 19th, so see THE dress, the fascinators, the Queen and everything else in between, we thought it would be fun to share who our favorite royal brides are and why.

AimeeGrace Kelly.  I just love the idea of the fairytale old Hollywood actress and an old world prince.  Grace Kelly’s modest lace dress is so timeless.  A bride could wear that in a church today and it would still be chic and stunning!

ChristinaPrincess Sofia of Sweden is my choice. Anyone that can go from a reality TV princess to a real life Princess in a few short years is a winner in my book! I also loved that for her bridal look she took notes from the forever classic Grace Kelly and my generation’s royal, the Duchess of Cambridge. I can’t forget that she topped off her look with an emerald and diamond tiara. Stunning and timeless – not bad for a reality TV star!

Debby – Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton is my choice, I don’t know what I love more, her timeless and classic style or how she has adapted to becoming “a royal” with such grace. Her Alexander McQueen wedding gown was just exquisite and the Cartier Halo Scroll Tiara which was her “Something borrowed” from the Queen was the perfect finishing touch! She really is the modern day princess.

Favorite Wedding Gift

September 14, 2017. Category: bride, wedding gifts, weddings

Sending a wedding gift is always a wonderful and thoughtful gesture from your friends and family. Even more so, when they end up becoming one of your most cherished items, reminding you of a loved one from that special occasion for years to come.

We asked the former brides on our team to share their favorite wedding gift and why!

Photography: Kate Headley

Aimee-  My KitchenAid Mixer and Le Creuset Dutch Oven.  I use them a ton, but especially on holidays and special celebrations, and they always make me think of the people who gave them to me.

Ashley- My aunt gave me a set of my grandmother’s vintage stemware. I never met my grandmother, as she passed away before I was born, so it’s really sweet to think of her while sipping on a glass of wine!

Debby- A dear friend of mine had our wedding invitation designed by Cheree Berry Paper made into a custom, beautiful, decoupage glass tray from Kaas GlassWorks in New York. It is such a wonderful keepsake that I will cherish forever, especially since my wedding paper was one of my favorite details from our wedding day.

Tips for wedding dress shopping

December 20, 2016. Category: bride, tips, wedding dress, wedding planner

Is there anything more exciting then shopping for your wedding gown!? We don’t think so, but before you head over to your favorite Bridal Atelier here are a few tips from our very own Aimee Dominick from A. Dominick Events

“Don’t take too many people when shopping for your dress. Often too many opinions is not a good thing.”

“Do blow out your hair and wear a little make up. It impossible to feel good in a dress if you don’t feel pretty to begin with.”

“Don’t feel pressured to buy the first day you look. It sometimes helps to sleep on the dress decision and go back another day to see the dress again.”

“Do wear boy shorts or full back undies. Your bum will be in a mirror a lot as you get into dresses.”

Of course also remember to have fun! This is supposed to be a wonderful and joyous time so take a minute to soak it all in, this is your wedding day after all!
