Welcome with a Twist

February 24, 2015. Category: destination wedding, details, inspiration, rehearsal dinner

With so many people traveling to attend most weddings, it can be overwhelming for the rehearsal dinner to include all of the out of town guests.  One solution,  for many of our couples is a Welcome party.  This can be a very casual and fun way for guests  to meet and mingle.

Here are some pictures from one of our favorite destination wedding welcome parties.

May Day

December 11, 2013. Category: decor, destination wedding, Flowers, photographer

I know, winter has only just begun, but I am already thinking about spring.  The tented wedding below was in May and just the epitome of the spring flower season. The amazing flowers were done by the only and only Holly Chapel.

Made in the Shade

May 27, 2011. Category: destination wedding
We are very excited about the beautiful wedding we are working on this holiday weekend, but it is going to be a hot one.  It got me thinking about how we help our guests beat the heat at a ceremony.  Two of my favorite are functional AND adorable. The parasols offer guests shade where there is none and the hats are a stylish way to keep the guys cool.  We used both at a wedding in the Bahamas, but you could just as easily use them in DC.  Happy Memorial Day!
