Kids Table!

September 27, 2016. Category: details, kids activities, kids table, weddings

Weddings, though always fun and joyous, can be long and tiring for your littlest guests. These little ones may be your flower girl or ring bearer or even children of your friends so making sure that they too are entertained and having fun at your reception will make for a much better night for everyone and your guests will really appreciate it!

We feel that coloring books don’t actually entertain your littlest guests long enough, so it is better that you choose items based on their age and gender. This way, by the time the reception rolls around, boredom does not set in! Also leaving a specific gift for each of them at their seat with their name and a little thank you will make them feel extra special. We are huge fans of board games, puzzles, legos and a few extra snacks which will no doubt keep them busy and entertained and ensure that your kids table will be a hit!

The Most Perfect Fall Fête!

September 22, 2016. Category: decor, details, Fall, inspiration, real wedding

It is officially the first day of fall and we could’t be more excited!

We love it when the weather starts to turn cooler and the colors shift from bright florals to rich darker tones.

So as we grab our favorite sweaters and dream of fall foliage, drinking warm apple cider, pumpkin picking, and sitting outside by the fire we can’t help but look back to one of our favorite fall weddings for inspiration!

Cherry Blossom Season!

March 18, 2016. Category: cherry blossoms, details, real wedding, weddings

One of the most anticipated times in Washington DC is the when the cherry blossoms begin to bloom! This year marks the 104th anniversary of the gift of the cherry blossom trees from Japan as a symbol of friendship with the United States.

As the weather has been so up and down these past few months, the official peak blooming period has been moved up to March 21st. Their initial forecast, issued for peak bloom was sometime during the period March 31st to April 3rd which is significantly earlier than we’ve seen in the past few years,

We of course always think back to some of our favorite spring weddings that took place during cherry blossom season last year, you can’t but fall in love with these beautiful flowers and wish that they bloomed all year long!
