This lovely couple enjoy exploring “the real DC,” so a modern venue in their favorite neighborhood was a priority Long View Gallery provided the perfect backdrop to allow them to include details that reflected who they were as a couple.
Caroline and Chris wanted to make sure all of their guests felt as if they were entertaining them in their own home.
Live music, outstanding food and great cocktails were very important.
They included elements in their cocktail hour that originated from their childhoods: lobster rolls from Chris’ home town of Gloucester, MA, chips and seven layer dip as part of a long running family joke for Catherine.
They also picked craft beers from locations that were special to their relationship, to reflect their first date. Chris and Catherine also both love cheese and charcuterie, so they included a large cheese bar in the cocktail hour, and family-style charcuterie boards at each table during dinner. Their wedding felt intimate, warm and welcoming exactly what this couple wanted!
